REGISTER NOW – Cross-border cooperation in the Mediterranean: achievements and new challenges in focus during ‘NextMed’ Conference

The Joint Managing Authority is pleased to invite you to the ‘NextMed’ Conference which will take place on December 12, 2014 in Rome in order to mark the passage to the ENI (European Neighbourhood Instrument) CBC Med 2014-2020 Programme.

The Conference, sponsored by the Italian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, aims to showcase the achievements of Cross-Border Cooperation in the Mediterranean region and highlight coming challenges under the European Neighbourhood Instrument (ENI).

The event will gather a wide range of actors of the Euro-Mediterranean cooperation among political, EU and project representatives. Participants will have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of the strategy, objectives and priorities of the new ENI CBC Med Programme. In addition, an exhibition will offer a journey through the 95 projects funded by the ENPI CBC Med 2007-2013 Programme.

From 8.00 (registration and visit to projects’ exhibition) to 18.30

Please note that two thematic workshops focusing on ENPI CBC Med funded projects will run in parallel in the afternoon:

1. Projects dealing with “Socio-economic development” including Business and SMEs development, Support to education, research, technological development and innovation and Promotion of social inclusion and fight against poverty;

2. Projects dealing with “Environmental sustainability” including Water, Waste, Renewable energy and energy efficiency, Integrated Coastal Zone Management.

When registering online, participants are kindly requested to choose which workshop they wish to attend.
